Call it a spooky coincidence, but Halloween this year falls during October half-term. If you’re a parent, planning activities during the school holidays can feel like a scary prospect in itself. 

But fear not – at Crealy we’ve got you covered. 

Not only are we planning more than a week’s worth of spook-tacular entertainment for you and the kids with our Halloween Spook-Fest, but we’ve also rounded up some of the most exciting family-friendly events happening in Exeter and Devon this October half-term.

Halloween Spook-Fest at Crealy

(19th, 20th, 25th October - 3rd November 2024) 

That’s right, Halloween Spook-Fest once again comes to Crealy this October and November.

This year’s schedule is jam-packed with a frightfully exciting mix of entertainment and events. Alongside the return of your favourite attractions and the Creaky Hotel, there are three brand new draws for this year:

Hooded Wood: If you go down to the woods this year, you’re sure for a big surprise with our new rope-guided scare maze.  

Tales Of Transylvania Motel Live Show: Aerial acts, monster mashing music and acrobatic tricks abound in our three-times daily show.

Buddy's Trick or Treat: Perfect for little monsters, you never know what tasty treats or tricky fun awaits.

Get ready for the most spine-tingling Spook-Fest yet. The event is free for Annual Pass Holders, or tickets can be booked for individual days, with discounts available for families. What’s more – we’re giving away a free pumpkin to every child!

Pick Your Own Pumpkins at Jolly Pumpkin 

(21st - 29th October 2024)

Head over to Jolly Pumpkin in Silverton near Exeter where kids can enjoy picking their very own pumpkin. What’s more, there are plenty of other attractions to explore, including the dino maize maze and bale mountain! 

A (very) Batty Half Term at Kents Cavern

(26th October - 3rd November 2024)

Tour Devon’s fang-tastic prehistoric caves, where you can take part in a pumpkin hunt and even craft your very own bat! Plus, if you can guess the weight of the pumpkin in the visitor centre, you’ll win an annual pass!

King Arthur Live at Exeter Northcott Theatre

(29th October - 2nd November 2024)

Enjoy a brand-new laugh-out-loud show coming to the Northcott Theatre for the first time. This hilarious retelling of the legend of King Arthur is perfect for the whole family, with matinee and early evening performances available.

Kids Halloween Disco at Occombe Farm in Paignton 

(29th October 2024)


DJ entertainer Richard’s Time Machine will be spinning some Halloween-inspired tunes at Occombe Farm in Paignton. There will also be party games, storytelling and a costume contest – so wear your scariest attire!
