Duty Manager
Duty Manager (up to £33,000 depending on experience)
This is an exciting new opening for someone who is looking for the next step in their career in the tourism/leisure industry.
The Theme Park & Resort Duty Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the business, ensuring the highest levels of health and safety, customer service and efficiency are always maintained.
Throughout the day, the Duty Manager will act as an ambassador for the business, helping to troubleshoot service-interruptions and maintain the best possible guest- and team-experience. This role also offers direct support to the Security and First Aid team
About the role
· Ensure high levels of safety compliance throughout the business, including audits, formal observations, competency checks and spot-checks of key areas
· Provide hands-on, front line operational support throughout the day
· Oversee the out-of-hours operation including group bookings, special events and evening entertainment for Crealy Meadows guests
· Always demonstrate a high level of customer service
· Complete business reports in an accurate and timely manner and submit to the Assistant General Manager
· To ensure that the procedures for full opening and close of the theme park are completed, including effective close-down of rides, ambient music and lighting
· To continuously assess the safety, cleanliness and presentation of all guest-facing areas
· Manage the safe evacuation of guests from rides
· Enact the Emergency Action Plan (EAP) and act as the primary contact with the emergency services
· Actively seek innovative ways to improve the business’s performance in key areas, such as maximising financial opportunities, ride safety, ride throughput, facility cleanliness and the overall guest experience
· Provide ‘immediate service recovery’
· Oversee the onboarding of new team members by conducting Welcome Walks
· Actively assist to co-ordinate, establish and deliver seasonal events
About you
· Experience working in a leisure industry or holiday park environment (desirable)
· Excellent customer service skills, ensuring all our guests have a memorable experience
· Ability to work as part of a team as well as alone
· Full driving licence holder
· Able to cover on weekends/bank holidays and in school holiday periods as well as all year round, where possible there will be some shifts we are able to give in advance, but the majority will rely on your flexibilit
